Dessy Baeva is a multidisciplinary artist living and creating in London.
Her work explores the interplay between the masculine and the feminine, while above all celebrating women and their desire to live life fully. Not tied to one medium, she works across painting, installation and other forms, using bold colours and dynamic shapes to channel spontaneity and freedom.
Growing up in the Bulgarian mountains meant that she had to be imaginative to keep herself entertained, which is one of the reasons her work carries a specific psychedelic dream like quality. From mystic mountains, groovy faces, folklore, swirly patterns and Tarot archetypes, Dessy’s work exists in it’s own magical world.
